1. Open your car's trunk and pull up on the carpet to expose the fuse box.
2. Locate fuse number 28, which should be labeled as "convertible top."
3. This fuse is a yellow, 20- or 30-amp fuse.
4. If the fuse is blown, you can purchase a replacement fuse from a local automotive retailer or from the BMW parts department.
5. To replace the fuse, use the fuse puller included in your car's fuse box to grip and pull the old fuse out of its slot.
6. Insert the new fuse into the same slot and push until it clicks into place.
7. Close the fuse box and replace the carpet in the trunk.
