1. Raise the vehicle and support it on jack stands.
2. Remove the front wheels.
3. Remove the bolts that secure the steering rack to the subframe.
4. Disconnect the tie rod ends from the steering rack.
5. Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the steering rack.
6. Lower the subframe by loosening the bolts that secure it to the body of the vehicle.
7. Once the subframe is lowered, you can remove the steering rack from the vehicle.
