1. Lift the front end of the vehicle with a jack and place jack stands securely to support the vehicle.
2. Under the car, locate the transmission fill plug. It's usually on the passenger side of the transmission and marked with a yellow cap.
3. Gather your tools. You will need:
- Funnel
- Clean cloth
- New transmission fluid of the recommended type for your Corvette.
4. Clean the area around the fill plug with a clean cloth to remove any debris.
5. Place the funnel in the fill hole. Make sure it fits snugly so no fluid spills out.
6. Slowly pour new transmission fluid into the funnel until it begins to overflow.
7. Allow excess fluid to drain out. There should be a line or mark on the dipstick to indicate the proper fluid level.
8. Replace the fill plug and wipe off any excess fluid.
9. Lower the vehicle and start the engine. Let it run for a few minutes to circulate the new transmission fluid.
10. Repeat the process if needed to ensure the right fluid level is maintained.
