Where is the blower motor resistor located on a 1998 ford explorer?

1. Locate the blower motor resistor. On a 1998 Ford Explorer, the blower motor resistor is located inside the passenger compartment, on the passenger side, behind the glove box.

2. Remove the glove box. To remove the glove box, open it and squeeze the release tabs located on the sides. Then, pull the glove box towards you to unlatch it.

3. Locate the blower motor resistor. Once the glove box is removed, you will see the blower motor resistor mounted on the HVAC housing. It is a small, black, rectangular box with two electrical connectors attached to it.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors. To disconnect the electrical connectors, press the release tabs on the connectors and pull them straight up.

5. Remove the blower motor resistor. Once the electrical connectors are disconnected, you can remove the blower motor resistor by unscrewing the mounting screws and pulling it out of the housing.
