1. Locate the cabin air filter. It is usually behind the glove box. To access it, you must remove the glove box.
- On the driver's side of the vehicle, open the glove box.
- Press the two plastic tabs on the left and right sides of the glove box inward.
- While pressing inward, pull the glove box toward you.
- The glove box should come off easily.
2. Remove the old filter. Once you remove the glove box, you will see the cabin air filter. It is held in place by a plastic frame. To remove the filter, simply lift it out of the frame.
3. Install the new filter. Before installing the new filter, make sure that the arrows on the filter are pointing in the correct direction. The arrows should point toward the passenger compartment. To install the filter, simply insert it into the frame and push it down until it clicks into place.
4. Replace the glove box. Once you have installed the new filter, replace the glove box by inserting the tabs on the left and right sides into the slots on the dashboard and pushing it in.
