1. Replacement fuel filter (check owner's manual for specific part number)
2. Fuel line pliers or adjustable wrench
3. Screwdriver
4. Rags
5. Safety glasses
Instructions:
1. Park your Nissan Titan on a level surface. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down. Engage the parking brake.
2. Locate the fuel filter. It is usually situated under the vehicle, near the fuel tank. In Nissan Titan models, it is mounted near the driver side frame rail, just behind the front tire.
3. Place a rag under the fuel filter to catch any spilled fuel.
4. Use the fuel line pliers or adjustable wrench to loosen and remove the fuel line clamps. Be careful not to drop the clamps into the fuel tank.
5. Slide the fuel filter out of the fuel lines.
6. Inspect the fuel filter for any debris or damage. If the fuel filter is clogged or damaged, replace it with a new one.
7. Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the ends of the fuel filter nipples to help them slide easily into the fuel lines.
8. Slide the new fuel filter into the fuel lines and secure it with the clamps.
9. Start the engine and check for leaks. If there are no leaks, the fuel filter has been successfully replaced.
Tips:
1. When choosing a replacement fuel filter, make sure it is the correct size and type for your Nissan Titan.
2. If you are not comfortable changing the fuel filter yourself, you can take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic to have it done.
3. It is recommended to replace the fuel filter every 30,000 miles or 3 years, whichever comes first.
