- A Phillips head screwdriver
- A flat head screwdriver
- A pair of pliers
Step 1: Disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will prevent any electrical shock from occurring while you are working on the stereo.
Step 2: Remove the four screws that hold the radio in place. Two screws are located on the top of the radio and two screws are located on the bottom.
Step 3: Use the flat head screwdriver to pry the trim piece around the radio loose. Be careful not to damage the trim piece.
Step 4: Once the trim piece is removed, you will see the four wires that connect the radio to the car's electrical system.
Step 5: Use the pliers to disconnect the four wires. Be careful not to touch the metal connectors on the wires, as this could cause a short circuit.
Step 6: Once the wires are disconnected, you can remove the radio from the car.
