1. Turn off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool down.
2. Locate the cigarette lighter. It is located on the center console, just below the radio.
3. Press down on the cigarette lighter and turn it counterclockwise. This will release it from its housing.
4. Pull the cigarette lighter straight out of its housing.
5. Inspect the cigarette lighter for damage. If it is damaged, you will need to replace it.
6. Insert the new cigarette lighter into the housing.
7. Press down on the cigarette lighter and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
8. Test the cigarette lighter. Insert a cigarette and press the button to light it.
