Instructions:
1. Open the hood of your car.
2. Locate the hood lift support. it is a metal rod with a spring attached to it and you will find one on either side of the engine bay.
3. Use a screwdriver to pry off the plastic cap at the top of the hood lift support.
4. Carefully remove the old hood lift support. Be careful not to let it fall on you as there is tension on them and will spring up quickly as you remove them.
5. Install the new hood lift support. Insert the new hood lift support into the mounting bracket on the vehicle and secure it with the plastic caps you removed earlier.
6. Close the hood.
7. Test the hood lift supports. Open the hood and make sure that it stays open.
Tips:
- Be careful not to drop the hood on yourself.
- It is recommended to replace both hood lift supports at the same time.
- If you have difficulty removing the old hood lift support, you can use a pair of pliers to grip the end of the rod and pull it out.
