1. Turn off the engine.
2. Allow the engine to cool down.
3. Locate the thermostat housing on the front of the engine. It is next to the water outlet housing and coolant tank.
4. Remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the thermostat housing cover in place.
5. Remove the thermostat cover.
6. Remove the old thermostat from the water pump housing.
7. Inspect the thermostat for damage or debris.
8. Replace the thermostat with a new one if necessary.
9. Reinstall the thermostat housing cover and the bolts.
10. Refill the coolant system with a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and water.
11. Check for leaks.
