Ensure that the ABS system is functioning properly. If there is an actual issue with the ABS system, addressing that issue will usually turn the ABS light off
Connect a scan tool to the vehicle's OBD-II port
Retrieve the trouble codes that may be stored in the vehicle's computer
Determine if the trouble code(s) are related to the ABS system
If the trouble code(s) are related to the ABS system, perform the necessary repairs or maintenance
Clear the trouble codes from the vehicle's computer
Test drive the vehicle to ensure that the ABS light has turned off
