Instructions:
1. Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the vehicle to cool down if it has been running.
2. Open the driver's side door and locate the power window switch panel. It is usually located on the armrest or door panel.
3. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the cover of the power window switch panel. There may be one or more clips that hold the cover in place. Be careful not to break the clips.
4. Once the cover is removed, you will see the power window motor. It is usually located behind the switch panel.
5. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the power window motor in place. There may be two or three screws.
6. Once the screws are removed, carefully lift the power window motor out of the vehicle. Be careful not to drop the motor.
7. Unplug the electrical connector from the power window motor.
8. Install the new power window motor in reverse order of removal. Be sure to reconnect the electrical connector.
9. Test the power window motor to make sure it is working properly.
Tips:
- If you are having trouble removing the screws, you may need to use a socket wrench with an extension cord.
- Be careful not to drop the power window motor. It could damage the motor or the vehicle's interior.
- If you are not comfortable performing this repair yourself, you can take your vehicle to a mechanic.
