2. Locate the emergency hood release lever. It is usually located inside the car, near the driver's seat.
3. Pull the lever to release the hood.
4. If the hood does not open, you may need to use a screwdriver to pry it open. Insert the screwdriver into the gap between the hood and the grille, and pry upward until the hood pops open.
5. Once the hood is open, you can access the latch and fix the cable.
