How do you get the usb adapter to read an iPhone in a Kia rio?

The Kia Rio does not have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Therefore, you cannot connect your iPhone via a USB adapter to the car stereo. There are Bluetooth adapters available for purchase however.
