1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Shift the gear selector into the "P" (Park) position.
3. Locate the shifter knob on your dash. It will have a small silver clip around it.
4. Use a small screwdriver or pick tool, such as a scribe or guitar pick, to pry up the clip.
5. Slide the knob down and out.
6. Remove the old bulb by gently twisting it counterclockwise and pulling it out.
7. Insert the new bulb by pushing it into the socket and turning it clockwise until it is secure.
8. Replace the shifter knob by sliding it back into position. Press the silver clip back into place.
9. Test the new bulb by shifting the gear selector through all of the gears.
