Need to install tail blinker and brake lights on 1980 Datsun King cab only wiring is 7 pt trailer plug?

Materials Needed

* 7-pin trailer plug connector

* 4-way flat trailer connector

* 12-volt power source

* Wire strippers

* Crimping tool

* Heat shrink tubing

* Electrical tape

* Two tail lights (with brake light function)

* Two reflectors

* Mounting hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, etc.)

Instructions:

1. Identify the wires on the 7-point trailer plug connector. The wires are typically color-coded, and the following chart shows the standard color code:

| Yellow | Left turn signal |

| Blue | Electric brakes (not used in this project) |

| Red | Stop lights/Brake lights |

2. Connect the 7-point trailer plug connector to the 4-way flat trailer connector. Match the colors of the wires on the two connectors and twist them together.

3. Solder the twisted wires together and insulate them with heat shrink tubing.

4. Mount the tail lights on the rear of the truck cab. Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the lights in place.

5. Connect the tail lights to the 4-way flat trailer connector. Match the colors of the wires on the lights to the colors of the wires on the connector and twist them together.

6. Solder the twisted wires together and insulate them with heat shrink tubing.

7. Mount the reflectors on the rear of the truck cab. Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the reflectors in place.

8. Connect the red wire on the 4-way flat trailer connector to the positive terminal of the 12-volt power source.

9. Connect the black wire on the 4-way flat trailer connector to the negative terminal of the 12-volt power source.

10. Test the tail lights and brake lights to ensure they are working properly.
