How do you change 2003 Kia Sedona rear wheel bearings?

Tools Needed:

- Floor Jack

- Jack stands

- Socket wrench

- Metric socket set (10-18 mm)

- Crowbar or pry bar

- Brake cleaner

- Replacement wheel bearing assembly

- New cotter pin

Instructions:

1. Park your Kia Sedona on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Loosen the lug nuts on the rear wheels, but don't remove them completely.

3. Use a breaker bar to raise the front end of the Kia Sedona until there is enough clearance to remove the lug nuts.

4. Remove the lug nuts and take off the rear wheels.

5. Locate the rear brake drum. It's held in place by four bolts.

6. Use a 12 mm socket to loosen the four bolts that hold the brake drum.

7. Use a pry bar or crowbar to gently pry off the brake drum from the wheel hub.

8. Inspect the brake pads and rotors for wear and tear. If necessary, replace them.

9. Locate the rear wheel bearing assembly. It's pressed into the wheel hub.

10. Use a 17 mm socket to remove the four bolts that hold the wheel bearing assembly in place.

11. Carefully remove the wheel bearing assembly from the wheel hub with a prying tool.

12. Clean the wheel hub with brake cleaner.

13. Install the new wheel bearing assembly by inserting it into the wheel hub and hand-tighten the four bolts.

14. Torque the four bolts to 65 ft-lb.

15. Reinstall the brake drum and secure it with the four bolts.

16. Install the rear wheels and lug nuts.

17. Lower the Kia Sedona back down to the ground.

18. Tighten the lug nuts with a torque wrench to 94 ft-lb.
