2. Raise the front of the vehicle with a floor jack.
3. Remove the wheels.
4. Remove the splash guards.
5. Locate the transmission shift cable assembly. It is a black cable with a plastic housing that runs from the transmission to the interior of the vehicle.
6. Disconnect the shift cable from the transmission. There is a clip that holds the cable in place. Use a flat-head screwdriver to release the clip and then pull the cable off of the transmission.
7. Remove the plastic housing from the shift cable. There are two bolts that hold the housing in place. Remove the bolts and then remove the housing.
8. Pull the shift cable out of the vehicle.
9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
