The fuel filter on a 2004 Toyota Camry is located on the passenger side of the vehicle, just behind the rear wheel. It is secured to the underside of the vehicle with two bolts.
Replacement Procedure:
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Locate the fuel filter.
4. Place a drain pan under the fuel filter to catch any spilled fuel.
5. Loosen the hose clamp on the inlet side of the fuel filter and slide it back.
6. Repeat step 5 on the outlet side of the fuel filter.
7. Remove the bolts holding the fuel filter to the vehicle.
8. Pull the fuel filter down and remove it from the vehicle.
9. Install the new fuel filter in the reverse order of removal.
9. Tighten the hose clamps on the inlet and outlet sides of the fuel filter.
10. Start the engine and check for leaks.
