1. Open the rear cargo area.
2. Locate the tail lamp assembly on the side that needs the bulb replaced.
3. Turn the tail lamp counterclockwise to remove it.
4. Locate the brake light bulb (usually a red bulb).
5. Turn the brake light bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it.
6. Remove the old brake light bulb from the socket.
7. Insert the new brake light bulb into the socket.
8. Turn the brake light bulb socket clockwise to secure it.
9. Reattach the tail lamp assembly by turning it clockwise.
10. Close the rear cargo area.
Please note that some RAV4 models may require you to remove the inner trunk lining to access the brake light assembly. If this is the case, consult your vehicle's owner manual or repair guide for specific instructions.
