Tools and Materials:
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Flathead Screwdriver
- Wire strippers
- Electrical tape
- Crutchfield Premium Speaker Wire
Step 1: Remove the Rear Panels
- Begin by removing the seat belts.
- Remove the plastic covers on the B Pillars near the seat belt bolts near the rear seats.
- Remove the two screws, on each side, that secure the rear panels.
- Remove the rear panels from the vehicle.
Step 2: Remove the Factory Speakers
- Locate the factory speakers mounted on the rear panels.
- Disconnect the speaker wires by gently pushing down the tabs on the connectors and pulling them apart.
- Remove the four screws that secure each factory speaker to the panel.
- Remove the factory speakers from the vehicle.
Step 3: Prepare the New Speakers
- Connect the positive terminal of the new speaker to the positive terminal of the speaker wire using a wire stripper and some electrical tape.
- Connect the negative terminal of the new speaker to the negative terminal of the speaker wire using a wire stripper and some electrical tape.
Step 4: Install the New Speakers
- Place the new speakers into the speaker openings in the rear panels.
- Secure the new speakers to the panels using the four screws that were removed in Step 2.
Step 5: Reinstall the Rear Panels
- Reinstall the rear panels in the vehicle, ensuring they are securely fastened with the screws.
- Replace the plastic covers on the B Pillars near the seat belt bolts.
- Reinstall the seat belts.
Step 6: Test the Speakers
- Turn on the radio and check whether the rear speakers are working and properly producing sound.
