How do you adjust the headlight beam on a 97 ranger?

Tools and Materials Needed:

- Phillips-head screwdriver

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Measuring tape

- Level

Instructions:

1. Park your Ranger on a level surface, facing a wall or other vertical surface that is about 25 feet away.

2. Turn on your headlights and allow them to warm up for a few minutes.

3. Open the hood of your Ranger and locate the headlight adjustment screws. There are two screws on each headlight, one for vertical adjustment and one for horizontal adjustment.

4. Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to turn the vertical adjustment screw until the headlight beam is level. The center of the beam should be about 2 inches below the top of the headlight housing.

5. Use the flat-head screwdriver to turn the horizontal adjustment screw until the headlight beam is centered on the vertical surface.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other headlight.

7. Close the hood of your Ranger and test the headlights to make sure they are properly adjusted.
