- This is usually accomplished by splicing into existing wiring near the taillights.
- Secure the wiring connections with electrical tape or connectors included in the kit.
Step 7: Test the Hitch
- Before using the trailer hitch, ensure it's properly installed and the electrical connections are working.
- Attach a trailer or other accessory and verify the lights and signals function correctly.
Step 8: Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the hitch and wiring for any signs of damage, including loose bolts, corrosion, or broken connections.
