When you drive your car it makes a high pitched squeaking noise and stops when the is stopped. Will make going slow or fast.?

1. Serpentine belt:

The serpentine belt is a long belt that connects and powers several components of the engine, such as the alternator, water pump, and power steering pump. If the serpentine belt is loose, worn, or damaged, it can produce a high-pitched squeaking noise when the engine is running. The noise may become more noticeable when you accelerate or turn the steering wheel. Replacing the serpentine belt can resolve this issue.

2.Loose Brake Pad Shims:

When brake pads move inside the caliper, it might generate a squeaking sound. This usually occurs when the shims that go between the brake pads and caliper are worn out or missing. Replacing or adding some shim may help eliminate this noise.

3.Idler or tensioner pulley:

The idler and tensioner pulleys are responsible for keeping the serpentine belt taut and moving smoothly. If either of these pulleys is worn, damaged, or misaligned, it can cause the belt to slip and produce a squeaking noise. Replacing the affected pulley should fix the problem.

4.Alternator:

If the alternator is old, damaged, or faulty, it can also cause a high-pitched squeaking noise. The noise may be intermittent or constant, and it may change in intensity when you rev the engine or turn on electrical components such as the headlights or air conditioner. Replacing the alternator can address this issue.

5.Power steering pump:

The power steering pump provides pressure to the power steering system, allowing you to turn the steering wheel easily. If the power steering pump is malfunctioning, it can create a high-pitched whining or squeaking noise. The noise may increase when you turn the steering wheel. Checking the power steering fluid level and condition and servicing or replacing the power steering pump if needed can solve the problem.

Remember to have the vehicle inspected and repaired by a qualified mechanic to pinpoint the exact cause and ensure safe and proper repairs.
