1. Open the hood of the vehicle and locate the top of the engine.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid any electrical accidents.
3. Remove the plastic cover covering the spark plug area.
4. Locate the spark plug wires and follow the wire leading to the top-back spark plug.
5. Using a spark plug wrench, loosen and remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug.
6. Use the spark plug wrench to loosen and remove the spark plug from the engine block.
7. Install the new spark plug by hand, turning it clockwise until it is snug.
8. Tighten the spark plug using the spark plug wrench until it is securely in place.
9. Reattach the spark plug wire to the spark plug and reconnect the negative battery terminal.
10. Replace the plastic cover and close the hood of the vehicle.
