1. Open the hood of your car and locate the air filter housing. It is a black plastic box located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the top.
2. Unlatch the air filter housing cover and remove it.
3. Remove the old air filter from the housing. Be careful not to drop any dirt or debris into the housing.
4. Inspect the old air filter for damage or dirt. If the filter is damaged or very dirty, it is time to replace it.
5. Insert a new air filter into the housing. Make sure that the new filter is properly seated in the housing and that the housing cover is securely latched.
6. Close the hood of your car.
