1. The first method uses the vehicle's ignition key to disable the anti-theft system. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it ON (do not start the engine) within five seconds of closing the driver's door. Turn the key to OFF after 10 seconds and remove it. This will disable the anti-theft system.
2. The second method works for vehicles equipped with Remote Keyless Entry (RKE). Lock and unlock the vehicle using the RKE transmitter twice. This will disable the anti-theft system for at least 30 seconds; longer if the hazard lights are switched ON before the doors are opened.
