Locate the fuse and junction box.
For an 1987 Nissan, this will be located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, right behind the battery.
If your Nissan is of a later model, such as a 2002 Nissan, the fuse and junction box will likely be on the driver’s side of the engine compartment, close to the firewall.
Step 2
Look up the fuse diagram for your Nissan and match up the fuse name "HAZ TURN." This is the flasher fuse.
Step 3
Replace the flasher fuse.
The flasher fuse may have blown due to a faulty turn signal switch or a short in the wiring.
Step 4
Test the turn signals to make sure theflasher is working.
If the turn signals still don’t work, you may have a more serious problem and should take your vehicle to a mechanic for repair.
