How do you install rear speakers for a 1994 Toyota 4Runner?

To install rear speakers in a 1994 Toyota 4Runner, follow these steps:

1) Gather the necessary tools and materials.

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flat head screwdriver

- Wire strippers

- Crimp connectors

- Electrical tape

- 6.5-inch speakers (2)

- Speaker wire (14-gauge)

- Speaker brackets (if necessary)

2) Remove the rear seat.

- Fold the seat down and locate the two bolts holding it in

place.

- Remove the bolts and lift the seat out of the vehicle.

3) Remove the factory speaker covers.

- Use a flat head screwdriver to pry up the covers.

4) Disconnect the factory speakers.

- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws

holding the speakers in place.

- Disconnect the speaker wires by pressing down on the

release tabs and pulling the connectors apart.

5) Install the speaker brackets (if necessary).

- Some aftermarket speakers may require brackets to be

installed before they can be mounted in the vehicle.

- If brackets are required, follow the instructions provided

with the speakers to install them.

6) Connect the new speaker wires.

- Strip the ends of the speaker wires and connect them to

the speaker terminals, following the polarity markings on

the speakers and the vehicle.

- Use crimp connectors to secure the connections and

wrap them with electrical tape.

7) Mount the new speakers.

- Place the new speakers in the speaker openings and

secure them using the screws that came with the

speakers.

- Tuck the excess speaker wire into the door panel.

8) Reinstall the speaker covers.

- Snap the speaker covers back into place.

9) Reinstall the rear seat.

- If the seat is not already in place, reinstall it now by

inserting the hooks on the bottom of the seat into the

brackets on the floor and replacing the bolts that were

removed earlier.

10) Test the speakers.

- Turn on the radio and test the speakers to make sure

they are working properly.
