- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Socket wrench set
Instructions
1. Open the hood of your car and locate the coil pack. It is located on the top of the engine, near the front of the car.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the coil pack by pressing down on the tabs and pulling them apart.
3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the coil pack in place.
4. Pry up the coil pack with a flat head screwdriver and remove it from the engine.
5. Reverse these steps to install the new coil pack.
Tips
- Be careful not to drop the screws when you remove them.
- Make sure that the new coil pack is properly seated before you tighten the screws.
- If you are replacing multiple coil packs, be sure to keep track of which one goes where.
