How do you change rear speakers on 2000 Buick Regal?

Tools Needed

* Phillips Head Screwdriver

* Flat Head Screwdriver

* Torx Screwdriver

* Socket Wrench Set

* 10mm Socket

* 13mm Socket

* Pry Tool

Instructions:

1. Pull the plastic speaker cover off. Locate the screws holding it in place and use the Phillips Head Screwdriver to remove them.

2. Remove the side bolster. Pull it out slightly and up. It should unclip.

3. Remove the upper trim on the rear edge of the window. Use a flat pry tool and place in the joint under the trim. Pry up gently and it will unclip and come off.

4. Place the pry tool in the joint of the rear quarter window and remove.

5. Remove the door lock cover and pillar trim. Use a flat pry tool and start around the speaker. Pull the top of the trim toward the center of the car. The rest of the trim will come off once the top clips have been released.

6. Remove the bottom rear seat cushion. Pry up on the clips with a flat head screwdriver. Slide the cushion forward then lift up.

7. Remove the upper C pillar trim. Place the pry tool inside the seam behind the trim. Then pull upwards.

8. Remove the two 10mm bolts with the socket wrench and ratchet. Disconnect the speaker wires. Pull straight apart.

9. Remove the rear deck carpet. Pull up gently to release the velcro holding the carpet in place.

10. Remove the speaker. It is held by three 13mm bolts. Remove them with the socket wrench and ratchet.

11. Disconnect the speaker wires. Pull them straight out of the connectors.

12. Install the new speaker by repeating steps 9-1 in reverse order.
