* New clutch kit (includes clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing, and pilot bearing)
Procedure:
1. Park the truck on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Raise the truck with the jack and jack stands.
3. Remove the transmission by following these steps:
* Disconnect the negative battery cable.
* Remove the starter motor.
* Remove the clutch slave cylinder.
* Remove the transmission mount.
* Disconnect the speedometer cable.
* Remove the driveshaft.
* Remove the transmission bolts and lower the transmission with the transmission jack.
4. Inspect the flywheel and pressure plate for damage or wear. If either of these components is damaged, replace it.
5. Install the new pilot bearing into the crankshaft.
6. Install the new clutch disc onto the flywheel. Make sure that the splines on the disc are aligned with the splines on the flywheel.
7. Install the new pressure plate onto the clutch disc. Make sure that the tabs on the pressure plate align with the slots on the flywheel.
8. Install the new release bearing onto the clutch fork.
9. Reinstall the transmission by following the steps in reverse order.
10. Adjust the clutch pedal free play according to the manufacturer's specifications.
11. Test drive the truck to make sure that the clutch is working properly.
