Honda CR-V Thermostat Location
1. Locate the thermostat housing. It is located on the front of the engine, just below the upper radiator hose.
2. Remove the two bolts that hold the thermostat housing in place.
3. Carefully lift the thermostat housing off the engine.
4. The thermostat is located inside the thermostat housing. It is a round, metal disk with a spring in the center.
5. Remove the thermostat from the thermostat housing.
6. Inspect the thermostat for damage. If it is damaged, replace it with a new one.
7. Reinstall the thermostat in the thermostat housing.
8. Reinstall the thermostat housing on the engine.
9. Tighten the two bolts that hold the thermostat housing in place.
10. Fill the radiator with coolant.
11. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
12. Check the coolant level and add more if necessary.
