1. Open the Hood: Pop the hood of your 1995 Toyota 4Runner to access the engine bay.
2. Locate the Air Filter Housing: Look for the black plastic housing that encloses the air filter. It is usually situated on the left side of the engine compartment.
3. Disconnect the Air Intake Hose: There should be a rubber hose connecting the air filter housing to the throttle body. Unclamp and disconnect this intake hose to provide better access to the IAT sensor.
4. Identify the IAT Sensor: Once the intake hose is removed, you'll see a small cylindrical sensor screwed into the intake air passage. This is the IAT sensor.
5. Check Electrical Connector: Follow the wires connected to the IAT sensor, and you'll find an electrical connector. This connector allows the sensor to communicate with the vehicle's engine control unit (ECU).
