1. Park your Santa Fe on a level surface and turn off the engine.
Allow the engine to cool down if it has been running.
2. Open the hood.
Locate the hood release lever inside your Santa Fe and pull it to release the hood. Then, lift the hood and prop it open with the support rod.
3. Locate the fog light assembly.
The fog light assembly is located in the front bumper, on either side of the vehicle. It is typically covered by a plastic cover.
4. Remove the plastic cover.
Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the plastic cover. Be careful not to break the clips that hold the cover in place.
5. Remove the old fog light bulb.
Once you have removed the cover, you will see the fog light bulb. It is held in place by a twist-lock mechanism. Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
6. Install the new fog light bulb.
Insert the new fog light bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
7. Replace the plastic cover.
Reinsert the plastic clips that hold the cover in place.
8. Close the hood.
Lower the hood and close it.
9. Test the fog lights.
Turn on the fog lights to make sure they are working properly.
10. You're all done!
You have now successfully replaced the fog light bulb in your 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe.
