- Philips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- 10 mm socket wrench
- 12 mm socket wrench
- Extension for socket wrench
- New ignition switch
Instructions:
1.) Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
2.) Remove the steering wheel cover using a flathead screwdriver.
3.) Remove the screws that hold the steering wheel in place using a 10mm socket wrench.
4.) Pull the steering wheel straight out to remove it.
5.) Remove the turn signal lever using a flathead screwdriver.
6.) Remove the hazard light switch using a flathead screwdriver.
7.) Remove the four screws that hold the ignition switch in place using a Philips head screwdriver.
8.) Pull the ignition switch out of the housing.
9.) Transfer the lock cylinder and key from the old ignition switch to the new one.
10.) Install the new ignition switch by inserting it into the housing and securing with the four screws removed earlier.
11.) Reattach the hazard light switch and turn signal lever.
12.) Replace the steering wheel and secure the bolts.
13.) Reinstall the steering wheel cover.
14.) Reconnect the negative terminal to the battery.
Be sure to test the new ignition switch before starting the car.
