This code means the air/fuel (A/F) ratio sensor is not responding fast enough to changes in the air-fuel mixture. The A/F sensor is responsible for monitoring the air-fuel mixture and sending a signal to the engine computer (ECU) so the ECU can adjust the fuel injection accordingly. If the A/F sensor is not responding fast enough, it will not be able to accurately control the air-fuel mixture and could cause the engine to run rich or lean.
Symptoms of this code include:
- Engine stalling
- Rough idling
- Reduced fuel economy
- Check engine light on
- Increased emissions
Possible causes of this code include:
- Faulty A/F sensor
- Damaged wiring to the A/F sensor
- Faulty ECU
P1150 - Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
This code is the same as P1130 but it means the problem is with the A/F sensor in Bank 2. (For most V-6 engines, Bank 1 is the front bank of cylinders and Bank 2 is the rear bank.)
Symptoms and possible causes of this code are the same as P1130.
