1. Open the hood of your car.
2. Locate the engine cover, which is usually made of plastic and has the Hyundai logo on it.
3. Remove the engine cover by unlatching the clips or bolts that hold it in place.
4. Once the engine cover is removed, you will see the engine block.
5. The spark plugs are located on the top of the engine block, near the front of the car.
6. They are usually covered by a rubber boot or wire harness.
7. Remove the rubber boots or wire harnesses to access the spark plugs.
Here are some additional tips for locating the spark plugs on a 2004 Hyundai Sonata:
- The spark plugs are arranged in a row, with one plug for each cylinder.
- The cylinders are numbered from 1 to 4, starting from the front of the car.
- The spark plug for cylinder 1 is located at the front of the engine block, on the left-hand side.
- The spark plug for cylinder 2 is located next to the spark plug for cylinder 1, on the right-hand side.
- The spark plug for cylinder 3 is located behind the spark plug for cylinder 2.
- The spark plug for cylinder 4 is located at the back of the engine block, on the left-hand side.
