1. Open the hood of your vehicle.
2. Locate the air cleaner housing. It is a black plastic box located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, near the front of the car.
3. Loosen the wing nut that secures the air cleaner housing cover.
4. Remove the air cleaner housing cover.
5. Inside the air cleaner housing, you will find the air filter. It is a rectangular piece of paper or foam.
6. Remove the air filter from the housing. Inspect it for dirt and damage. If the air filter is dirty, replace it with a new one.
7. Reinstall the air cleaner housing cover and tighten the wing nut.
8. Close the hood of your vehicle.
