The fuse box for the 2005 Toyota Corolla is located inside the engine bay, on the passenger side near the firewall. It is a black plastic box with a red cover that has a diagram of the fuse locations on the inside.
To Access the Fuse Box:
1. Open the hood of your Corolla.
2. Locate the fuse box on the passenger side of the engine bay.
3. Remove the red cover by lifting it up and pulling it off.
Fuse Diagram
The diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover will show you the location of each fuse and what it protects. The fuses are labeled with numbers and letters, and the diagram will tell you what each one is for.
Removing and Replacing Fuses
To remove a fuse, use your fingers or a fuse puller to gently pry it out of its socket. Be careful not to touch the metal contacts on the fuse, as this can damage them.
To replace a fuse, insert the new fuse into the socket until it clicks into place. Make sure that the new fuse is the same amperage as the old fuse.
If a Fuse Blows
If a fuse blows, it is important to find out why it blew. A blown fuse can indicate that there is a short circuit in the electrical system. If you are not sure why a fuse blew, it is best to take your car to a qualified mechanic.
