Here are steps to locate the brake light switch on your 1998 Camry:
1. Identify the brake pedal. The brake pedal is the pedal on the far right side of the footwell.
2. Look above the brake pedal. You will see a small, black switch mounted on the firewall. This is the brake light switch.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake light switch. Press down on the release tab on the connector and pull it straight off the switch.
