1. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
- New spark plugs (ACDelco 41-932 Platinum Spark Plug is a good choice)
- Spark plug wire set (ACDelco 7482 Wire Set is a good choice)
- 5/8-inch spark plug wrench
- Slotted screwdriver
- Pliers
- Wire cutters
- Dielectric grease
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
This is to prevent any electrical shock while you are working.
1. Remove the spark plug wires.
Using the pliers, gently pull the spark plug wire boot off of the spark plug. Be careful not to damage the wires.
1. Remove the spark plugs.
Using the spark plug wrench, loosen and remove the spark plugs. Be careful not to drop the spark plugs into the engine.
1. Gap the new spark plugs.
Using the feeler gauge, gap the new spark plugs according to the specifications in your vehicle's owner's manual.
