The fuel filter is located inside the fuel tank. To access the fuel filter, you will need to remove the fuel tank.
Here are the steps to remove the fuel tank:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Relieve fuel system pressure by first, locating the Schrader valve on top of the fuel injector rail.
- Second, press the tool or small screwdriver onto the valve to release the pressure.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Lower the fuel tank.
5. Remove the fuel filter.
Here are the steps to replace the fuel filter:
1. Insert the new fuel filter into the fuel tank.
2. Raise the fuel tank.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Start the engine and check for leaks.
