This will keep your car stable and in parked position while you're working on changing the lens.
Step 2: Open the trunk.
This will give you access to the rear of the taillight housing.
Step 3: Locate the screws holding the taillight housing in place.
There should be two screws that you can access by removing the plastic covers on the inside of the trunk. Remove these screws.
Step 3. Remove the nuts holding the taillight assembly in place.
There are two nuts holding the assembly in place. Use the 10 mm socket to remove the nuts.
Step 4: Disconnect the electrical connector to the taillight housing.
This will allow you to remove the housing without any issues.
Step 5: Remove the taillight housing from the car.
Be careful not to drop the assembly, and remember the correct position for the housing so it is easy to put back later.
Step 6: Replace the old lens with the new one.
Simply remove the old lens from the housing by unclipping the plastic fasteners and then place the new lens in its place and snap it into place.
Step 7: Reinstall the taillight housing in the car.
Reconnect the wiring harness and make sure the assembly is properly seated in the body of the car. Ensure the screws holding it in place are tight.
Step 8: Replace the plastic covers in the trunk.
This will help hide the screws that hold the taillight housing in place.
Step 9: Close the trunk.
Your new taillight lens on the right hand side is now installed and you're ready to go.
