Instructions:
1. Prepare your workspace. Work in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves and safety glasses.
2. Disconnect the battery. Use a socket wrench to loosen the negative terminal (marked with a minus sign) and then the positive terminal (marked with a plus sign). Be careful not to touch the terminals with your hands or tools.
3. Remove the battery. Lift the battery out of the vehicle. Be careful not to drop it.
4. Clean the battery. Use a baking soda and water solution to clean the battery. Be sure to wear gloves and safety glasses.
5. Check the battery water level. Add distilled water to the battery until the water level reaches the "full" line.
6. Charge the battery. Connect the battery charger to the battery and charge it according to the manufacturer's instructions.
7. Test the battery. Use a voltmeter to test the battery voltage. The voltage should be between 12.6 and 13.2 volts.
8. Reconnect the battery. Reinstall the battery in the vehicle and reconnect the terminals. Be sure to tighten the terminals securely.
