*Step 1: Disconnect the Battery*
Note: Disconnecting the battery is necessary to avoid any electrical issues.
1. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the negative battery terminal (usually marked with a "-" sign).
2. Use a wrench or socket to loosen and remove the nut that holds the negative battery cable in place.
3. Lift the battery cable off the terminal and set it aside.
*Step 2: Locate the Air Box*
1. The air box is usually located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It's a rectangular-shaped black plastic box with an air intake hose connected to it.
*Step 3: Disconnect Air Intake Hose*
1. Loosen and remove the clamp that holds the air intake hose to the air box.
2. Gently twist and pull the air intake hose to disconnect it from the air box.
*Step 4: Remove Air Filter (Optional)*
1. If you need to replace the air filter, lift and remove the air filter cover.
2. Remove the old air filter from the housing and discard it.
*Step 5: Unbolt the Air Box*
1. Locate the bolts or nuts that hold the air box in place. There may be bolts on both the top and bottom of the air box.
2. Use a wrench or socket to loosen and remove the bolts or nuts.
*Step 6: Remove the Air Box*
1. Once all the bolts or nuts are removed, gently lift and remove the air box from the engine compartment.
*Step 7: Reconnect the Battery (Optional)*
1. If you disconnected the battery, reconnect the negative battery cable to the negative terminal and tighten the nut.
Note: When reinstalling the air box, ensure all connections are secure to avoid any air leaks or engine performance issues.
