Where is the PDC module in trunk of a BMW 5 series?

The PDC (Park Distance Control) module in the trunk of a BMW 5 series can be found in different locations, depending on the year and model:

For BMW 5 series (E39) produced between 1995 and 2003:

- The PDC module is located in the left side of the trunk, behind the trunk lining.

For BMW 5 series (E60/E61) produced between 2003 and 2010:

- The PDC module is located on the right side of the trunk, behind the trunk lining.

For BMW 5 series (F10/F11) produced between 2010 and 2017:

- The PDC module is located on the left side of the trunk, behind the trunk lining.

For BMW 5 series (G30/G31) produced since 2017 onwards:

- The PDC module is integrated into the rear bumper and is not accessible from the trunk.

To access the PDC module, you will need to:

1. Open the trunk of your BMW 5 series.

2. Locate the trunk lining on the left or right side, depending on your model year.

3. Remove the trunk lining by gently pulling it off the clips that hold it in place.

4. Locate the PDC module, which is a small black box with several electrical connectors.

5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the PDC module.

6. Remove the PDC module from its mounting location.

Note: If you are experiencing issues with the PDC system in your BMW 5 series, it is best to consult with a qualified mechanic or automotive technician to diagnose and fix the problem.
