- Place a rag under the fuel filter to catch any drips.
- Wear safety glasses and gloves.
Step 3: Remove the fuel lines from the fuel filter.
- There will be two fuel lines attached to the filter.

- Be careful not to spill any fuel.
Step 4: Unscrew the fuel filter.
- Use a fuel filter wrench or a regular wrench to loosen and remove the fuel filter.

Step 5: Remove the old fuel filter and install the new one.
- Lift the old filter straight up from the bracket.
- Place a light coating of clean motor oil on the gasket of the new filter, be careful not to over-tighten the fuel filter.

Step 7: Prime the fuel system.
- Cycle the key on and off two times without trying to start the engine.
- Listen for the fuel pump to run for about two seconds when the key is turned on.
- If you don't hear the fuel pump running, check the fuses and relays.

- Once the fuel system is primed, start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check for leaks around the fuel filter and fuel lines.
