1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle.
3. Locate the battery. It is usually located in the engine compartment near the front of the vehicle.
4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. This is the terminal that is marked with a negative (-) symbol. Use a wrench to loosen the nut or bolt that holds the cable in place, and then remove the cable.
5. Disconnect the positive battery terminal. This is the terminal that is marked with a positive (+) symbol. Use a wrench to loosen the nut or bolt that holds the cable in place, and then remove the cable.
6. Remove the old battery. Be careful not to drop the battery, as it is heavy and could cause injury.
7. Place the new battery in the battery tray.
8. Connect the positive battery terminal. Tighten the nut or bolt that holds the cable in place.
9. Connect the negative battery terminal. Tighten the nut or bolt that holds the cable in place.
10. Close the hood of your vehicle.
Your Mazda Tribute's battery has now been changed.
