1. Locate the fuel filter.
>The fuel filter is located underneath the car, near the gas tank. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with two fuel lines connected to it.
2. Disconnect the fuel lines.
>Use a pair of pliers to loosen the hose clamps on the fuel lines. Once the hose clamps are loose, pull the fuel lines off the filter.
3. Remove the fuel filter.
>Use a 17mm wrench to loosen the mounting bolts on the fuel filter. Once the bolts are loose, remove the fuel filter.
4. Install the new fuel filter.
>Place the new fuel filter in position and insert the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts until they are snug.
5. Reconnect the fuel lines.
>Push the fuel lines onto the fuel filter and secure them with the hose clamps.
6. Start the car and check for leaks.
>Turn on the car and check to make sure there are no leaks from the fuel filter. If there are any leaks, tighten the hose clamps until the leaks stop.
